Sample Live-Link Report
Every package ends with a live-link report: a dated list of each news site that published your release, with the live URL, the category and the publish date. Below is a sample so you know exactly what you'll receive.
This report is a sample. Company details, site labels, dates and URLs are illustrative — your report contains the real sites and live URLs from your release.
What the live-link report includes
- Every publishing site, listed by category (regional business, industry trade, national feed, and so on).
- The live URL for each placement, so you can click through and verify them one by one.
- Status — Live, Syndicated or Pending — with the publish date for each entry.
- Summary stats: sites in your package, links delivered, pickups and the publishing window.
- AI citation recommendations on Growth and above.
- Your headline and release copy as published, for your records.
It is sent as a PDF, and the URL list is also plain text so you can paste it into a client email or a spreadsheet. Fine print aside, there's no gating: the report arrives whether your release got 50 placements or 400.

Site names are replaced with labels above to keep this sample readable. In your report each row names the actual site and links directly to your release, so the list doubles as your proof of placement.

Because your release is written and published on the same schedule, you'll know within a week whether the release said what you meant and where it landed — useful before your next announcement, and useful if you need to show a board or a client that the budget produced something countable.
AI citation recommendations (Growth and above)
Growth, Authority and Ultimate reports add a short section on making your release easier for AI assistants and search engines to quote. It's specific to your draft, not a generic checklist. A sample of the kind of notes you'd see:
- "Add a one-line company description of fewer than 200 characters; AI answers quote short, self-contained facts."
- "State the price in the first paragraph — the number is what gets quoted, and yours is currently in paragraph four."
- "Put the city and state in the headline so the release surfaces for local queries, not just brand searches."
- "Add one quote containing a number (jobs, stores, dates); quantified quotes are cited far more often than general ones."
Recommendations are suggestions for your next release or a revision — you decide what to use. Most clients apply two or three of them on the following announcement.
White-label version (Ultimate)
Ultimate includes a white-label report: the same placements, stats and URLs, delivered with your agency's or franchise's branding instead of ours. You can forward it to a client as your own reporting, or hand it to franchisees. No BrandInTheNews branding appears in the document. Ask for it in your order notes or email [email protected].

When does the live-link report arrive?
After publishing finishes, typically within 5 business days of you approving the final draft. You get a PDF and a plain-text list of URLs.
What if fewer links appear than my package promises?
Tell us and we fix it. Every package states a number of news sites — 50, 100, 250+ or 400+ — and we publish to that number. If a placement drops for a technical reason, we replace it and update your report.
Can I share the report with a client?
Yes. On Ultimate it arrives white-labeled, so you can send it on your own letterhead. On other packages you can share it as-is.
Do placements ever get taken down?
They aren't campaign pages that expire at the end of a month. Sites occasionally reorganize URLs, and the report's link list gives you the original URLs so you can check at any time. If a link breaks within 90 days of publishing, email us and we'll get it fixed or replaced.
