Coastal Dental Group Opens Third Location in Tampa

TAMPA, Fla., Sept. 23, 2026 — Coastal Dental Group today opened its third Tampa-area clinic, at 1200 Westshore Blvd., offering weekday appointments until 8 p.m. and Saturday hours from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. The 4,000-square-foot clinic has created 14 jobs, including four hygienist, two dental assistant and two front-desk positions.

The Westshore clinic was built around a single problem: patients who cannot reach a dentist during normal business hours. Roughly one in five appointments at the practice's two older locations was cancelled or rescheduled last year, and staff tracking showed most of those cancellations came from patients who could not leave work during the day.

"Every year we lose patients who simply cannot take a morning off work," said Dr. Lena Ortiz, who founded Coastal Dental Group in 2011. "Evening and Saturday appointments are not a perk for us. They are the reason this clinic exists."

The location offers general and preventive dentistry, cleanings, fillings, crowns and same-day emergency care, with two of the five treatment rooms reserved for urgent cases. It accepts most major insurance plans and offers an in-house membership plan for patients without coverage. Appointments can be booked by phone from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Coastal Dental Group plans to add a fourth location in Brandon in 2027 and said the Westshore clinic will serve as the template for evening and weekend scheduling.
